This is The Unity Candle Ceremony involves three main candles; one held by each partner (representing the two separate family candles) and then one which will stand alone to symbolize the union. The family candles can be lighted up by the couple's parents for the couple to light their unity candle together. It is a beautiful and meaningful ceremony that involves parents, giving the couple the opportunity of thanking them for all their guidance and support over the years.

The couple pours sand from different vessels combining the grains into one. It intends to represent the foundations of a strong marriage, as each person contributes with their little grain of sand to build their relationship in love and care.
